Opening Hours

What time do you open and close?

We are open from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

Attendance

Do you offer half days?

Unfortunately, we do not offer half-day sessions.

Is there a minimum number of attendance days per week?

Yes— we ask for a minimum of two days per week.

Fees & Funding

What are your prices?

Under 3s:

  • Part-time     (less than 5 full days): £116 per day
  • Full-time     (5 full days): £525 per week

Over 3s:

  • Part-time     (less than 5 full days): £113 per day
  • Full-time     (5 full days): £504 per week

Do you accept childcare vouchers?

Yes — please enquire directly with your chosen voucher provider.

Do I get 15 or 30 hours of free childcare?

Your child will be eligible for 15 hours of free childcare from the term after their third birthday, spread across 51 weeks (approximately 11 hours per week).

We also offer 30 hours of funding from the term after your child turns 9 months old for those eligible. If you believe you may be eligible, please speak to our receptionist, who will provide you with a funding form.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Yes - we offer a 5% discount to the older sibling's fees.

Do you charge a registration fee?

Yes— we charge a non-refundable £150 registration fee this gives you a place on our waiting list.

What's Included

What do my nursery fees cover?

Your fees include childcare, meals within your sessions, all creative materials, nappies, wipes, and extracurricular activities (excluding offsite trips).

Do you provide nappies, wipes, and formula milk?

Yes — we provide nappies and wipes.
If you prefer a specific brand, you are welcome to bring your own.
We do not provide formula milk, as this is individual to each baby. Parents should supply the required amount for each day.

Extra Sessions & Late Collection

Can I book extra childcare if required?

We offer ad hoc childcare, subject to availability. If there’s space on your requested date, we’ll be happy to accommodate your child.

Do late pick-up charges apply?

Yes— we charge £1 per minute after closing time.

Inclusion & Accessibility

Can you accommodate children with special educational needs or disabilities?

Yes, absolutely. We are fully inclusive and committed to ensuring every child receives the best start in life. Please speak to our nursery manager about how we can support your child.

Does the building have disabled access?

Yes— there is a lift to provide full access. We can discuss your child’s needs in more detail to ensure comfort and accessibility.

Settling In

Do you offer settling-in sessions?

Yes — we offer two free settling-in sessions to help your child transition smoothly:

• Visit 1 (2 hours): You and your child will spend time with their key person exploring the nursery environment.

• Visit 2 (2 hours): You’ll stay for the first 15–30 minutes, then your child will stay independently with their key person for the remainder.

If additional sessions are needed, these can be arranged at a chargeable rate.

Tours & Enrolment

Do you offer tours of the nursery?

Yes! Our nursery managers would love to show you around. Tours take place on Fridays.

Do you have a waiting list?

Yes — if the nursery is full, we can add you to our waiting list.

Health & Safety

What security measures are in place?

We have CCTV (accessible only to senior staff), secure key fob entry, and all staff are safeguarding-trained and enhanced DBS-checked.

Can parents view the CCTV?

Unfortunately we don't allow parents to view the CCTV.

Education & Daily Life

What curriculum do you follow?

At Little House Nurseries, we follow a bespoke programme based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

It draws on leading early years approaches and is designed to nurture creativity, independence, and confidence while meeting every child’s individual needs.

Are the children all in one room?

No — we have five to six rooms, and children are grouped according to their age and stage of development.

What does a typical day look like?

Each day includes breakfast, engaging activities, creative and outdoor play, lunch, quiet time or naps, and afternoon learning before tea and collection.

Do you offer extracurricular activities?

Yes — our in-house classes are included in your fees.

Offsite activities may incur an additional charge, which will be communicated in advance.

Do you take the children to parks and playgrounds?

Yes — we visit local parks and green spaces regularly, and all children enjoy daily outdoor time in our nursery garden.

Do you have an Ofsted rating?

Yes — both of our nurseries have been inspected and rated “Good” by Ofsted.

Staff & Communication

What qualifications do your staff have?

Our team includes highly qualified childcare practitioners and enthusiastic apprentices, led by experienced senior staff in every room.

Will my child have a key person?

Yes — each child is assigned a key person who will be your main point of contact and will build a strong, nurturing relationship with your child.

How will I know how my child is doing?

You’ll receive daily updates from your key person, regular reports, and twice-yearly parent evenings.

You’ll also have access to the Famly App, where you can see photos, updates, and daily activities.

Meals & Nutrition

What meals do you provide?

We provide breakfast, lunch, and tea, along with snacks, water, and milk throughout the day.

Do you cater for allergies and dietary preferences?

Yes — we accommodate allergies, intolerances, and both cultural and non-cultural dietary preferences.

Our nursery manager and chef ensure every child receives a healthy, balanced diet.

Comfort & Facilities

Can my child sleep at nursery?

Yes — we provide cots for babies and soft sleep mats for older children. Each child has their own bedding, washed regularly.

Do you support potty training?

Yes — our team will work closely with you to support your child through potty training.

Do you have a buggy park?

Yes — both Kensal and Parsons House Nurseries have a safe, dry space for storing buggies and scooters.
