We ask for proof of ID where we need to confirm the identity of the individual making the request to comply with our security obligations and prevent unauthorised disclosure of data.

a) Right to access and rectify Personal Data
You may request a copy of your Personal Data from any OurHouse group company which may hold Personal Data about you. You can also ask us to correct any inaccuracies in your Personal Data though we may need to verify the accuracy of the new data you provide to us.
We may refuse to provide you with a copy of your data in certain circumstances, for example, if your request is manifestly unfounded. If we refuse your request, we will explain the reason for refusing it.

If you ask us to delete your information, we may not be able to do so, for example due to regulatory and contractual constraints which will be notified to you, if applicable, at the time of your request. For example, we may need to retain certain Personal Data about you if required for us to comply with a legal obligation or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
c) Right to object to processing of your Personal Data
You have the right to object to processing where we are relying on our legitimate interest (or those of a third party) and there is something about your particular situation which makes you want to object to processing on this ground as you feel it impacts on your fundamental rights and freedoms. In such case, we must stop that processing unless we can either demonstrate legitimate grounds for the processing that override your interests, rights, and freedoms or where we need to process your Personal Data for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims. You also have the right to object to receiving any direct marketing to which you previously opted in.
d) Right to restrict the processing of your Personal Data
This enables you to ask us to restrict (i.e., retain without using) the processing of your Personal Data in the following scenarios:
(i) if you want us to establish the data’s accuracy;
(ii) where our use of the data is unlawful but you do not want us to erase it;
(iii) where you need us to hold the data even if we no longer require it as you need it to establish, exercise or defend legal claims; or
(iv) you have objected to our use of your data but we need to verify whether we have overriding legitimate grounds to use it.
e) Right to data portability
You have the right to request the transfer of your Personal Data to you or to a third party. We will provide to you, or a third party you have chosen, your Personal Data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format. Note that this right only applies to automated information which you initially provided consent for us to use or where we used the Personal Data to perform a contract with you.
f) Right to withdraw consent to processing
You have the right to withdraw consent at any time where we are relying on consent to process your Personal Data. However, this will not affect the lawfulness of any processing carried out before you withdraw your consent.
g) Right to complain
We welcome the opportunity to attend to any of your concerns or complaints about the way in which we handle your Personal Data, however you also have the right to make a complaint at any time to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), the UK supervisory authority for data protection issues: https://ico.org.uk/global/contact-us/
